Degroof Petercam advised the shareholders of DesleeClama in the sale to Bekaert Textiles

Bekaert Textiles acquired the control over DesleeClama. After approval by the competition authorities, the new group will be named BekaertDeslee Textiles.

DesleeClama is a third generation Belgian family business engaged in the production of textiles for mattresses. With headquarters in Zonnebeke, the group has 10 production facilities worldwide and employs more than 1,100 people.

The deal between DesleeClama and Bekaert Textiles is part of their growth strategies and provides an answer to the great market opportunities, fueled by the increased global awareness about sleep comfort and the speed and innovation of the global mattress industry.

The new group will be the world’s leading mattress fabric supplier.
