Degroof Petercam opens new office
Things are happening at Degroof Petercam. From Kortrijk to the Kempen.
October 1, 2018
- Degroof Petercam will be opening a new office on October 1st. The seventh Degroof Petercam office in Flanders is moving in at the d’Offiz Business Center, Parklaan 46 in Turnhout. Experienced private banker, Kathy Mertens and her team will advise private clients, entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses.
- Hailing from Kortrijk, banker and entrepreneur Olivier Rogiest has been running the Degroof Petercam office in Kortrijk since September 3rd in his capacity as director. Until recently, he was the CEO of a West-Flemish family-owned business.
Nearby and in complete confidence
As an asset manager and business bank, Degroof Petercam assists clients in growing, protecting and transferring their assets. Both their personal and professional wealth. In these scenarios, the value of personal contact should not be underestimated.
“Our clients talk to us about what is important to them: their family, their company, their future, their assets. It is logical that they prefer to do this face-to-face, and with experts they trust. We ensure that they can do this close to home, so now also in the Kempen region.” - Kathy Mertens, Regional Director for Kempen, Degroof Petercam
Flemish entrepreneurship
In choosing Turnhout, Degroof Petercam opted to set up its seventh office in Flanders in an easily accessible location at the heart of an enterprising region. Its expertise as an asset manager and business bank closely dovetails with the needs of a large group of Kempen residents and companies.
Also on the other side of Flanders there are some changes taking place. On September 3rd Degroof Petercam welcomed Olivier Rogiest as the new director of its Kortrijk office[1]. Olivier Rogiest combines extensive experience in the financial sector with years of experience as the CEO of a family business.
“With Olivier in Kortrijk there is not only a banker, but also a family entrepreneur at the helm. He understands the inner workings of a family business and knows what it means to be an entrepreneur. As a result, he not only shares our group’s DNA, but is first and foremost very close to our clients.” - Franchy Van Waeyenbergh, Head of Private Banking for Flanders, Degroof Petercam
The Kempen establishment is Degroof Petercam’s twelfth office in Belgium. In Flanders, Degroof Petercam has seven offices: Turnhout, Kortrijk, Knokke, Ghent, Antwerp, Leuven and Hasselt.
