Second consecutive ‘Super Award’ De Tijd & L’Echo for Degroof Petercam
March 13, 2019
Degroof Petercam has been granted the ‘Super Award’ by the Belgian financial dailies De Tijd/L’Echo in Brussels, for the second consecutive year. This award is granted to the asset manager with the best performing equity and fixed income funds over a 5-year period.
There are four main criteria. Consistent returns over the past five years account for a weight of 40% in the overall score. The three other criteria, which each account for 20% of the overall score, are the 5-year return, the performance during bear markets and the risk-weighted return over 5 years.
This award is the result of intensive active management, a sustainable approach to financial management and society at large, and strong investments in research.
Hugo Lasat, CEO of Degroof Petercam Asset Management (DPAM), confirms “We are proud that our talented investment professionals have contributed to this nice result. Financial markets remain our passion and even in volatile markets we have proven to be able to generate sustainable added value in the long run. Sustainable outperformance is our sole reason for existence, and we will continue to uphold our conviction of active, sustainable and research-driven management.”
